With arthritis in my hands, I have difficulty putting on and taking off a one piece bathing suit. I love tankinis, but I don’t love skimpy bottoms or ones that have tight elastic on my legs. These boy cut leg openings are perfect for my chunky legs, and the high waist helps hold in the tummy roll. I always order a tankini with black or navy print in it, and these bottoms work perfectly. Hope the company continues to mare them as long as I continue to swim. They fit so well. Finding a swim suit bottom in an xs or s is quite hard. Definitely when you want to cover your behind. When you are in your 80's it is not a pretty sight to see ones to have so much hanging out. They are very comfortable also.Somehow I lost the bottom of my suit while traveling so these are just like what I had for my tankiniFit was good and they were comfortable but not flattering.I have been looking for a pair of boy shorts to go with my tankini tops and found these. I wear a size 10 jean, usually a Medium, although I do have a "muffin top", but not fat thighs. So I ordered a Large to be safe. They looked tiny, but they have wonderful stretch, but they are definitely tight on my waist and thighs. I just ordered a size XL to see if they will not squeeze so much. If I lost 5 pounds the Large would probably be fine. But do size up like everyone says. I never thought I would buy an XL bottom but I like comfort. By the way, these are really nice, soft with a good lining. Once you find your correct size you will be pleased.Arrived and as advertisedI was excited to find these. I am a runner so I have funny tan lines on my legs. This was perfect because no one can see my mid-thigh tan lines from running shorts. They are very stretchy and as flattering as black shorts can be. I only have 1 issue: the crotch. This is the most uncomfortable crotch area I have felt in all my swimming bottoms like these. I'll try to explain it the best I can for it to make sense. The crotch area in jeans, regular shorts, leggings, etc. are just the two legs coming together, so there is a seam right where your crotch is. This is usually no big deal because you would wear underwear. In most swimming bottoms there is usually a flat surface, like with underwear, so you don't have a line crushing your girl parts. These swimming bottoms are made like jeans or shorts. The seam rides up into the girl parts and it is very uncomfortable. I've worn them a few times and they are ok. I have a different swimming suit I wear for laps, so these are worn for when I'm at a splashpad or some place like that and basically just standing. I did swim laps in them one time and it was very uncomfortable. When I was looking to buy these, there were no pictures of people wearing them that had the top included, so I wanted to be helpful by showing others what they look like.I ordered a tag size large (US medium, I believe) and I have a 28.5" natural waist, 35" low waist, and 39" hips.In general, I like these shorts. I got them because I live in Florida, and sometimes my friends want to randomly go to the beach, but they have to wait forever for me to groom and I hate doing it anyway. Soo I thought I would get some shorts to just skip that step. I'm really pasty, so I shouldn't be tanning anyway, so the amount of coverage is fine.Anyway these are solidly decent shorts. I have a few concerns, but these are very cheap, so I think the fact that they meet my general requirements (high waisted to be more flattering and have a bit of an inseam of 3") makes them worth it.However, these have the potential for some serious camel toe because of the seam down the middle. Also, they are very straight up and down; to be the most flattering for me, I would need them smaller toward the top (suck in that baby spare tire) and give my butt room to breath (it's pretty small, but not THAT small). In effect, they do kinda emphesize my muffin top area, and flatten my booty, but I think I'm think I'm thin enough that it's fine. They're true to size though. Just follow the size chart. They're fully lined and have a sanitary liner as well. The body's material is pretty thick and apparently has spf 50.Overall, they're exactly what I needed, and I didn't see any better options, so these will have to do.I'd give them 3.5 stars if I could. It’s decent value for the money spent. The labels advertised it as sportswear. So I’m not sure if it’s meant for swimming. The problem is when I wore it swimming, the shorts ballooned with water as I exited the pool and hot tub. It took a bit of time to deflate, which looked strange. But they are high waisted and cover up well. I would order one size up than your usual size. I had read previous reviews, so I ordered an XL instead of a L, and it fit well.My wife is happy. I am happy :)Quality looks good, fits a bit smallFits largeFits well
